Barn Floors / Buck Fencing / Gate Entry

Barn Flooring Pinedale, WY

Anyone who has horses knows exactly how much effort and care goes into looking after them. You ensure they are groomed and that they are given a healthy diet and you also make sure that their stalls are comfortable and have the right mattress etc. In short, you go out of the way to ensure that your horses get the best of everything. However we have noticed that many property owners in and around Green River, Idaho Falls, Ammon, Rexburg and Preston don’t pay enough attention to the barn flooring.

While they do ensure that the barn is cleaned regularly and maintained well, they are not too particular about the materials used for flooring in barns. We are the landscaping experts that also specialize in barn construction projects. Over the years we have handled a large number of projects for customers across Lander, Cody, Jackson, Rock Springs and Riverton. Not only do we provide the floor designs and advice about materials, but handle the installation of the barn in the best possible way.

Barn Flooring

Regardless of how comfortable the bedding in the stalls, if the barn house flooring is poorly constructed, it can result in problems related to thrush from the trapped moisture as well as trouble caused by ammonia gases; at times abrasive/slippery materials can also cause injury. Apart from this, if the quality of the flooring isn’t up to the mark, it will result in extra labor and wastage of bedding too. We are very meticulous in our approach to building a barn floor:

  • We ensure that the area where its to be installed has soil that packs tightly- this provides a solid surface that’s not very abrasive
  • The floor will be leveled and we ensure the surface is even
  • The flooring will then be compacted- this helps it withstand extensive daily wear and tear
  • You can choose between dirt flooring, stone dust, asphalt, concrete or even natural stone pavers. For the actual stall areas, you can opt for rubber mats or plastic grid flooring above the base installation you choose

Buck Fencing

Buck fencing also called deer fencing is essentially a three-dimensional fence – One section of this type of fences is made up of two , A-framed ‘bucks’ that are spaced at a distance of 12 to 16 ft from each other. Rails are then attached to these standing A-frames. The number of rails installed in each section will be dependent on what height of fence you need. If you are planning on excluding only horses or cattle, it’s perfectly alright to build a 3/ 4 rail fence that’s only 4 feet in height. If you want to keep out bigger animals like elk or deer, a tighter and taller fence will be required

When you come to us with your requirement either for barn flooring or buck-proof fencing, we will come over and survey the location where the installation will be and provide solutions that are in line with your requirements and budget.
